Practice Rounds
04/23/24 and 04/30/24
First Week of Matches
5/07/23
GHIN Number: The league requires that you have an active GHIN number here or at another club. We need to know your GHIN number if it is tracked at another course. If you do not have a GHIN number, you will need to get one and have it tracked here. The fee for this is $55.00 and can be purchased at www.massgolf.org. If you fail to register for a GHIN handicap your handicap will be 0.
Format/Divisions/Schedule: Shotgun start at 5:00pm Match play league; 9 points possible per match. Each hole is worth one point and the format is the team best ball net. There will be two divisions based on the total handicap for each team. Based on a field with 24 teams, there will be 8 teams in each division. There will be two cycles for the season where each team will play one another within their division. This will result in 14 weeks of matches. The top two teams will be in finals to determine league champs. If a team no shows, their opponents will be awarded 7 points
Tees:
Flight 1 BLUE tees and 65 and older will play the WHITE tees
Flight 2 WHITE tees and 65 and older will play the GOLD tees
Flight 3 WHITE tees and 65 and older will play the GOLD tees
Substitutes: It is the responsibility of each player to line up a sub if he cannot make it to league that week. The sub must have an active GHIN handicap. Each person may use substitutes for 4 weeks for the duration of the league season. Beyond that, your partner will need to play alone. Please be sure that you can make the commitment to the league. If there are more than 2 weeks where a team has no shows, they will forfeit all matches for the season, including previously played matches.
Playoffs: This league is made up of three divisions. The top 2 teams in each division will qualify for playoffs. There will be 1 week of playoff matches. The teams will be seeded for playoff matches within each division based on their standings in regular season play. The winner of each match will continue on into the winner’s bracket where they will be competing for the 1st and 2th place for their division.
Banquet and Quota Event: Following the completion of our playoffs we will have a quota event and an end of the season banquet. All players in the league will be welcome to play in this event and to join us for dinner and awards after play.

Post Season Play– Following the completion of our league, we will be hosting Tuesday night events with rotating formats. Everyone who played in the league is welcome to join us, and can also bring guests with active GHIN handicaps. This is a great way to introduce new potential players to our league.
